RICE Rallies 2002 - 2019

In 2002 Steve Chong founded the RICE Movement, which stood for Renewal and Inter-Church Evangelism. What started out as a gathering of 100 youth, many of whom gave their lives to Jesus that night, has grown into a global movement that is uniting the asians between cultures for evangelism.

For 20 years they ran outreach rallies in cities where they are seeing thousands come to Christ, however that was just a starting point for a united generation to rise up, ready to see renewal and revival.

The Chinese character for the word 'rice' forms the logo, as it has a Jesus cross with 2 small strokes moving inwards towards the cross (representing unity and revival around Jesus) and 2 short strokes moving outwards (representing Gospel proclamation and empowerment from Jesus).

Working with local churches, they seek to be a catalytic blessing to the cities in which they’re based, our mission is to ignite global revival through transformational empowerment of bicultural youth in the West.

We are committed to mobilising and equipping them with the Gospel, nurturing a conviction of their divine calling, igniting their hearts for the lost, and forging a powerful bridge to Asia. Together, we are lighting the way for a global revival, one life at a time.
